Sounds like your drinking the coolaide hard on that one?.

... and btw: Syn oils have ZERO advantage over top brands of dyno oils except in very extreme cold environments+ having to do regular cold starts. - Anyone who would say different is a salesman or is ill-informed.

NEXT: You mentioned extended oil changes ... (assuming you meant some kind of aftermarket bypass filtration + not changing oils for really long periods based on oil sampling)... THIS IS THE KISS OF DEATH and should NEVER EVER EVER be done on commercial equipment. Premature cam failures and other issues are the result. - Bypass filtration to reduce soot levels between oil changes on a non-deleted engine.. sure.. but extending the oil change intervals --- NOPE!

Here are the recommendations for the ISX... Unless there is some vastly different technology going one somewhere ... detroit DD13/15 should not be that much different ...

info on bypass filtration and for recommended oil change intervals for max engine life vs. oil change costs over a million miles: https://rawze.com/forums/showthread.php?...617#pid617

What cool aid exactly? That mineral is the same as synthetic? I mentioned extended oil drains, but I also said in the same sentence that I don't do them and in fact I actually change my oil every 40k km when according to Detroit's own recommendations I could go (for my, engine, mpg, use case) way longer than that.

I also posted 2 years worth of oil samples. Not really sure where's the confusion...
