With that being said, yes... you are using both axles as drive axles when under power. If the power divider is locked, it will then divide power equally between the front and rear tandem axles. The wear on the components and amount of effort to convert would most likely outweigh any potential savings. Plus, in the event of a blowout, it would be nice to have the additional axle to help support the weight transfer. Peace of mind is a huge factor lol. | |||
