RE: Ravenwood update
871 new parts is a bit hit or miss. Depends on when the last run of manufacturing was as to if you can find them. Sometimes you have the play the "open the box" game to find out if something is actually a NX in a RX or PX box, because they'll kill off NX or NEW part numbers, but are still producing. Granted I'm just running my truck, so I don't look up and see inventories weekly on stuff to know what's what.

We don't have have extra fees for older vehicles, just California's ban on pre 2010 EPA entry and use in the state. I didn't leave anything there, so I have no need to go back.

Rust, corrosion, wiring - all issues for us that live and run in the rust belt. You have to keep up on it. Fortunately, my 08 doesn't have a lot of external wiring and chassis nodes/modules and from the firewall out is pretty simple. Start/charge harness and engine harness replacement is just part of the game, as is frame rails and keeping ahead of the rust. Nothing lasts forever.
