maybe or maybe not. You should bring it by here some time when it is acting up. If you have insite, monitor the "engine state" parameter and see if it is complaining about anything when the power falls off. Are your boost levels steady? -- do they fall off too?


At least you know it is not software,... though your programming was not all that great when you got here, nothing pointed at something that would cause mysterious power loss issues.

I would also not suggest trying to turn up the power to overcome it until you have solved it. Could be bad actuator(s),.. or a bad ecm driver circuit for them. i have seen it before but it is uncommon.

Also don't rule out things like the turbo speed sensor or other things like the cam and crank position sensors too.

gotta love those Volvos,.. Snailexpress was having similar issues with his volvo as well.

Have you installed a capacitor/noise filter on the alternator yet?
