difference between 2250 and 2350

The cm2350 is a newer ECM then the cm2250, cm2250 ECM’s were on both 12 and 15 litre engines but obviously with different cals and programming to match particular engine, more stringent emissions requirements I believe made Cummins go to the cm2350 ECM In both the 12 and 15 litre isx engines, so basically you could have a 2250 or 2350 in either 12 or 15 litre engines, to really know what engine your looking at you have to know obviously which cm and then cpl and seriel number along with displacement
