Your over thinking this (I know this from experiance). When you get caught loading your Wife's Bike on your truck, It's GAME OVER! If you do get away with it, repeatedly, and those batteries come to the end of their service life. You will have created more toxic waste than your "Slain Soot Monster" does in it's lifetime!
OR
If your trying to send your Wife on a 100 mile one way trip, then this makes more sense.
