Maritime emission rule change

Kind of a theory about carbon packing prevention but like how we add a gallon of gear oil, could you possibly add a gallon or so of the Vavoline Anti-carbon packing oil to prevent it from carbon packing in the first place or at the very least minimize the chance of it like how the gear oil protects from additional wear? It would seem like an obvious solution to a well known issue.

Carbon packing would seem to be an obvious effect of a setup like that... Damn, they take ugly and turn it into Bridezilla!
