Sounds to me like some salesman trying to unload a bunch of filters that they have sitting on a shelf to me.

FS1000 is 10 micron. Good for ISX to keep ahsfaultine at bay in tanks.

RE: FS1000 VS FS1212 FUEL WATER SEPERATOR
it should be the other way around
fs1000 has a 10 micron filtration rating
fs1212 has a 20 micron filtration rating
better micron filtration = longer injector life.

Thanks Rawze!!!!! I have another question I hope you don't find it to be a dumb one, On the fuel and water seperator FS1000 I know that I have to fill it up, but once i get on the truck do open the knob at the bottom and then re close or do have to open the knob twice and close and I know the knob at be closed at all time

I don't own that system. I have davco instead. I would think the knob at the bottom is only for draining water from it like on my davco. If that is the case,.. opening it does nothing for it other than draining water as it accumulates. If you just replaced it, why would it have water in it?

BTW: I drain the water from my davco every few days or so while I am checking my oil. - Especially in winter.

Also if your fuel water separator is heated by your engine coolant make sure it isn't mixing with your fuel I was literally draining antifreeze from mine before I replaced mine.
