Running generator instead of the apu

Its a champion 3100 Inverter Generator. I could get away with a 2000 watt but i like the electric start and remote start capabilities with this unit. It'll run 8 hours on a 1.6 gallon tank.

I just bought one of those champions and a 12k window unit that im modifying to place the condensor outside. How did u mount the genset? What u do in the rain?

I just did a simple platform mount. I went with this because i wanted something mounted. Also it doesnt have a "hard start" like a normal A/C because its an inverter setup. The drian and the A/C lines pass thru a 2 inch hole at the top of the sleeper which uses the conduit box and runs down the back.
