2010 Lonestar AC Issue Alright guys need some help , I am at end of my rope here. 2010 Lonestar - Cummins Sleeper Truck Have cold AC in sleeper but not in the Cab. All Actuator Doors are working - 1 Mounted top Fan , 2 behind Fan Unit under Fusebox - Blend Door mounted on Firewall I am Assuming is working correct, opens and closes. It should be closed for AC to restrict Hot Air from Engine Comp out - It is fully Closed New COmpressor, Drier, Evap , Exp Valve, 3 lbs Freon (Have AC Machine) There is no Hand Valve on Coolant LIne to turn off Water to Heater Core IN Dash but again appears Blend Doors are Functioning which is restricting any of the air passing through heater Core. First unit we have had with Thermister - Could they have anything to do with the issue. But again Sleeper has Cold AC - There are 2 Thermister on Drier/Evap. Does the sleeper have its on functioning Thermister's? I know it has its on Exp valve Also Changed all Filters - Any ideas | |||

RE: 2010 Lonestar AC Issue get a hose pinch plyers or vice grip and pinch off one of the lines to cab heater core. if air gets cold theres your issue. if not then refridgerant is not traveling through that core. RE: 2010 Lonestar AC Issue If you are outside in the sun working on the AC, and do not have that heater core off, you are not going to get AC. The other thing I did was to dig the outside ambient air temp sensor out from under the radiator and get it to some fresh air. I moved mine all the way up to the windshield wiper cowl. It does connect to your AC system, I discovered that on my own while troubleshooting something else with Body Builder. Do those two things and you will freeze yourself out of the cab. I have been running down around I-40 and by noon I have to turn the heat on. I also installed three fans in the truck, Yacht fans, boating... One under the overhead, two in the back corners of the sleeper blowing the cold air out of the sleeper up front to the cab. It gets painfully cold in the cab now. Here are the fans... It has a clip on it and a little bulb, two yellow wires on mine. About the size of your thumb. Just get it away from the radiator and engine heat. Your AC will thank you. RE: 2010 Lonestar AC Issue Thanks guys did the trick - Wish would have asked last Friday. Would have saved some head beating against the wall Bought 2 - 2010 Lonestar while back - Will be asking for help with my Next problem soon lol Not as easy Fix lol | |||
