A few metal shavings in fuel filter cartridge. My truck has the Paccar cartridge style fuel filter, normally I change it around 7,500 miles because it get pretty dark. The last two times I noticed a few metal shavings. These pieces I find are sliver like and not like flakes or chunks. Could this mean anything other than the filter is doing it’s job? | |||

RE: A few metal shavings in fuel filter cartridge. Metal shavings in your fuel filter could mean that your fuel pump is starting to fail, you might want to have a good Tech look at it before you contaminate your fuel system.
