RE: 2010 Pete 389 ISX 871 shuts down intermittently I looked at his program today. Yup... typical bad delete. * VGT turbo has been removed and replaced by a Big-boss garbage-can BW12.7 turbo. * The fuel-air mix has not been set to drive the turbo at all, and the engine is running far too lean. * Someone jacked up the injection timing to +8 and +9 and +10 degrees BTDC in places in the injection timing maps. * No proper engine mode control in the ecm. ECM is jumping operating modes and likely still trying to warm up exhaust systems that re not present any more., fighting against its own exhaust gasses. * Some bugs in programming left by the red engine maker that still needs to be addressed. -- But hey ,... the power and torque were not jacked way up although it was turned up from 485 (mid-tier) to 565HP and 1900 FT lbs torque. Too high of injection timing settings for that much power/torque. - I have seen worse however. I had already kinda suspected it but now I can officially say it ... Welcome to the bad delete club... RE: 2010 Pete 389 ISX 871 shuts down intermittently theres 2 trucks at my mechanics right now getting overhauled 1 blew the head gasket the other supposidly broke a gear on the front gear train and smacked valves. after looking over the engines i dont think the gear broke first. and both trucks are owned by same owner. both engines are 2350s. both engines no longer have an EGR cooler and have plugs port in the ports for it. both engines are over 600HP because they supposidly need it for pulling side dump doubles. and guess what both engines are in the shop before 300k miles on the clock. both are done by local company near sioux falls, sd Rawze and I already fixed a cm871 they had screwed up for a guy that pulls single side dump and he loves it gets good mileage and the power level works for him. after seeing all the people come on here with their programs from everywhere ive only seen good ones come from members here. so glad ive been on here as i did my research before i ever bought my first truck. So if I understand correctly, this means they had no coolant flow to the rear of the engine? That's the perfect combination {for destruction} with a 600HP tune...
