RE: Isx15 2350 knock. Yes square one. Once it’s warm I can’t hardly hear it anymore.

RE: Isx15 2350 knock. Man, hard to tell through that video. I don't hear anything that really stands out either. The idle on my 2350 is actually set at 750 (I'm assuming yours is in the 600ish range?), which does make it feel and sound smoother, although I've never tried to record it and listen to it. - On a side note, I literally just texted Bengy a video clip of an X15 (from a truck Im interested in purchasing) that sounded like it was hammering the damn pistons at an idle to me, but again I'm wondering if maybe the mic on the cell phone which recorded the video is just amplifying certain tones.

RE: Isx15 2350 knock. Having a CM2350 myself, that sounds normal to me , these CM2350 are a bit on the louder side , a friend of mine has a Signature Series @ 500 + HP and I'll tell you his engine is much quieter than mine. If it's not throwing any codes , fuel mileage is normal and no fuel leaks I wouldn't worry about it.

RE: Isx15 2350 knock. I have a suggestion. Why don't you have someone do a high pressure fuel leakage test through Insite. You say that once the engine is warm the sound goes away. See if that same sound comes through during that test. Maybe it will give you a direction to go in.

RE: Isx15 2350 knock. Random non-exhaustive possibility list: 1.I've seen others have a similar ticking noise end up being clutch related/noise disappeared after their mechanic replaced clutch(so don't know exact problem they had asside from a general 'clutch' category). Does the noise change if the clutch is released/while you press the clutch pedal down? 2. Flopping Jake rockers or really any loose rockers 2. An injector starting to go down hill. Test with injector cutout test in insite. 3. Engine or cab mounts worn through or rubbing their brackets because they aren't aligned right[u]

RE: Isx15 2350 knock. Mine had a similar sound and again would do it at certain rpm even completely warmed up . It was an injector. But, the injector passed a leakdown test and performance was not compromised, the culprit injector was easily found with a cylinder cut out test. I honestly could have left it, but my OCD forked out the cash to replace it….not a change in performance, fuel mileage nothing. If you can do a cutout test, confirm it’s an injector and it passes a leakdown, I’d say run it. User's Signature: 2015 389 Peterbilt. ISX 550 18speed 3.70 gears
