1327 fmi31 = cummins fault code 1658?. You need to connect with insite and get all the active and inactive faults to troubleshoot the engine properly.

1658 = cylinder 5 mis-fire detection.

When is the last time the fuel pump was rebuilt and all its guts were replaced?. It should be done every 400k miles (or 8,000 hours run time) to prevent the fuel pump from completely destroying the engine without any warning.

When is the last time a proper rail leak-down test was done?.

when is the lst time the overhead valves were adjusted?.

When is the last time an EGR tune-up was done?.. IMAP sensor, Wxhaust oressure sensor (and circuit check =ed for clogging), and others replaced on the enigne?.

I.E.> What is some history on it?.

These red engines need regular love and care .. and routine maintenance and if you neglect it.. then it becomes nothing but major problems that could have all been prevented.

I have an OTR diagnostic device these are the inactive codes attached . I did tune up replacing sensors you mentioned in your tune-up videos. I did replace barrels plungers in fuel pump removing the ceramic ones. All this was done about 80k miles ago.i don't see code 1658 at all.
Rail leak-down test and Overhead valves adjustment? I am not sure if it's done before i bought the truck. The truck was 400k when i bought it . now its 564k miles on it. Thanks@
