CM 2350 Egr slip joint

Had a leak develop on my slip joint that goes from exhaust manifold to the front of egr cooler. Can this be removed and replaced without removing the whole exhaust manifold? I was told to switch to the bellows type joint I would have to replace the front portion of the exhaust manifold. Thanks.

I replaced the whole exhaust manifold with a used one that had the bellows piece. That type you have is a bad design.

As far as taking sections out and putting new ones in...... I've tried it without much luck. You can get them apart with enough heat, the problem I had was the new section would end up being too loose and wouldn't seal properly.
