Have you pulled the head off the pump an inspected the plungers and rollers in the bottom of it?

They checked it last time while it was in the shop. I will check it again myself though. Could particles from the plungers/tappets/can be getting into relief valve causing this? It did have the claim done on plungers and tappets 150k ago but this obviously doesn't mean it's "fixed" from what I read in the link you posted last time.

My comments are all just my own paranoid attitude towards that debacle of a fuel pump they have on them. Would hate to see someone take out their engine if it could have been prevented is all.

Do you know the part number for the head gasket on the fuel pump?
