| RE: issues with nexiq connecting to insite Although the chineesium 'Inline-6' adapters have a decent track record for working well, those chineesium 'nexiq' adapters have never been any good. Your moneys would be far better spent going to a local fleet-pride or napa and buying a legitimate one instead. The 1st generation nexiq was pretty awful to begin with... the Chinese versions are even more awful, and rarely work or hold a steady/reliable connection in order for insite to communicate properly. worth a shot checking all your protocols, J1708 looks like it works in your photo, make sure J1939 Chan-1 does as well in device tester, and make sure insite is configured to communicate with "USB-Link", not USB-Link 2 or 3, and make sure its set to "auto-detect" instead of J1708/J1939... if it still wont work, best bet is to either spend the 800 or so dollars on a geniune nexiq if its something you use every day... or if you dont wanna break the bank and only need it every once in a while, get yourself a chinese INLINE 6 off amazon or ebay for $200 and call it a day. | |||
