Lower air leaf hanger broken bolt

Found a broken bolt on my lower air leaf hanger. Why do they break ? And also how hard is it to fix ?

Almost looks like water and road treatment intrusion plus the rust jacking. Better nip it in the butt before the frame rails are too far gone..

I was sitting loaded in my 2010 PB and heard a pop. A big nut and bolt that holds the bracket for the step just snapped like that from corrosion, I guess. Had me worried the truck was falling apart. It’s only happened that one time. I had the bracket off before, so maybe I over tightened it, but I doubt it.
But a huck bolt breaking. Not what you want to see.

I think I would be smacking all the huck bolts with a 5-lb hammer to see if there are any more.
