Another bad delete, and some questions....
I've been on here for years just reading and trying to keep up with things. I was a mechanic before i became a truck driver, so i figured i should try to learn how to maintain and service emissions systems. Thats how i found this site, and it's been pretty much the only help with working on these things. Anyway, I'm now driving a truck with a bad delete (i think anyway)..... how crazy is that..

2019 pete 389... x15 565, 2050. Deleted about 100k miles ago. Engine oil temp is consistently high, easy to reach 230 degrees... i see 240 a lot on long pulls and try to not reach 250 but it will. Also the boost is low on full throttle full load pulls. Usually it will boost to 30 then drop to about 25psi and stay there for the duration of the pull. But sometimes it stays at 30 for most of the climb... inconsistent. It also has lots of crazy electrical issues with faults and alarms that make no sense.

We haul heavy, everyday, 100,000 to 110,000 pounds on all types of terrain, but mostly hills and mountain. Truck is 18spd with 3.73 rear ( i know... we'd rather have 3.90 or 4.10 rears but the boss found this truck on a lot). My boss has seen the cans and says they are hollowed out, thats really all i know about this delete. As with most bad deletes i read about here, this truck runs pretty good and feels healthy.... but i know it's not right.

So i wanted to check and make sure i'm headed in the right direction.... I know software trading is not allowed but if anyone has a safe source to get Calterm please feel free to message! Also i need to purchase the Inline6 and insite setup... i found this one recommended by another member on here recently. Does this look correct?? https://www.ebay.com/itm/205669160423?mk...media=COPY

I have all the info from Rawze saved on my pc on how to use calterm and get the file copied and sent to him for review... i just wanted to check and see if anyone has anything to add, any more info to help, or any questions??? Thanks for reading and for all the help!!!

I've got an inline 6 that I've hooked up to my x15 cm2350 on multiple occasions including 2 nights ago when it had some fancy work done on it. Plugged right in under the dash to the green port

That Inline adapter should work pretty good, but there is no 100% answer when buying chinese/aftermarket adapters...

I've bought 2 at a time from the same supplier, and had one work perfectly, and the other be completley bricked, but the success rate is 90% in my opinion...

As long as eBay allows for returns for the specific item, I'd go for it and order it, worst case you get your money back.

If you don't want to take the chance, you could buy a nexiq adapter(i think its called the USB 3 now). You have to get it from a snapon truck or fleetpride, most sold online are junk knockoffs. These days the genuine adapter from the places I mentioned is probably around $1500.00. I bought mine 7 or 8 years ago and I think it was a little over $1000.
