Yikes! Fuel or DEF? I think they both purge when you shut the key off.

I don't know whether this is normal or not. Logically it makes sense to relieve the pressure with a short burst, otherwise the residual heat would expand the fuel after shutdown, potentially causing over pressure damage in a closed circuit.

I think the after treatment fuel injector purges on shut off because you can take the fuel line off the top when the truck is off and there is no fuel present.
