Is the GL4 that much better?

GL4 has the additives that our older, pre SCR motors need, GL5 is for the SCR trucks, due to the emissions. But, I believe Supertech makes a GL4 gear oil, Rawze used it for a spell. I use Sta-Lube, GL4, order off of Amazon.

I always thought gl5 was for limited slip rears but I might be mistaken. Looks like it’s ok from this video

Supertech gl5 is not for limited slip diffs,
You can use it to top it out only not as complete fill, it does not have friction modifiers so it can cause damagw to clutch type lsd if I remember correctly

I just bought 2 gallons of the six available fro my up c oming spring and summer oil changes ;) I don't think you need gear lube in the winter months added

May as well use Johnson & Johnson Baby Oil... It is the additive package we are after. Lucas does not have that.
