I've modified mine a couple times. The set up in the picture I would have concerns with because of the top mount. I've tried that and the cross member starts to crack over time. Whatever modification you use you have to measure leghth of shock, highest point to lowest point, width of mounting, and the size of mounting holes. Then you can look all that up on Monroe shock spec sheet and order the correct shock.I can send you the details on what I did, total cost was a little over 100.
