C15 Acert filled to double its oil capacity

My brothers C15 was filled to double its oil capacity and started for about 15-20 seconds when it as shutoff when the engine didn’t sound right.long story short one person was supposed to be draining the oils and changing filters while the other filling with new oil on a few trucks.Truck doesn’t want to start back up and it was drained till it was at max level.What could have happened to the engine?
