I had to service my doors on my prostar. The key locks were so worn out that you have to fiddle with them to get the doors unlocked.

I made some videos of it and posted them on youtube for those who might be interested in how to get the doors apart and service them. It is a 6-part series of roughly 10 minute videos...

I also had forum member "flatbed94kid" here with his CM2250 2013 Freightliner. I had never messed with the fuel pump on one of these and we tackled replacing the guts in it as a preventative maintenance. The truck has just over 500k miles on it.


It is a good thing we did this, his rollers were just starting to get chewed up and getting real bad. He also had the ceramic plungers in it they were just starting to chip, and it was right on the brink of destroying itself along with the whole engine. The bad rollers also took out the cam in the bottom of the pump too, so he needed a whole new pump.

Changing that pump on a freightliner cascadia is not easy to do as there is little to no clearances between the pump and the frame, but we got it done. We had to remove the power steering reservoir and pump + most of the hoses, pipes, and brackets in the surrounding area to get clearance to get it out.
