Help! Cummins Isx CM871 Programming
So replaced DPF cleaned DOC and many other parts/sensors. Still not allowing full regen to take place. Swapped ecm with one from an international. other than all lights on it completed the regen. Flashed the international ecm with the Kenworth program on the ecm with the latest update and trucks not completing regen cycle again. Clearly it’s an[/font] issue or bug with Cummins programming! Any suggestions?

First ...make sure the program is the exact one that is made for that engine ser# and truck.

next.. It is NOT a software bug. There is a soot (estimate) counter in the ecm that only counts UP and never down. It does NOT get reset magically just by someone replacing or cleaning out the DPF, DOC, etc. It has to be done as a procedure, as part of the "DPF replacement procedure" in cummins insite software. If this was not done properly when everything was removed and cleaned. etc.. then you will fight it to no avail.

lastly, if the regen cancels itself prematurely, then there is a reason for it. Wrong exhaust temps or could not get hot enough, turbo position error, or turbo rpm too fast or slow vs the engine, coolant temp, or some other thing that it red flagged.

RE: Help! Cummins Isx CM871 Programming
I just checked the invoice and it indicates reset DPF Maintenance.

The turbo speed fluctuates between 38-56,000rpm when it tries to regen. When the engine fan kicks on the regen aborts. There's no codes.

watch my video on a regen process. Watch the DPF temps and see if they climb once the Doser turns on. If there is something wrong with the doser injector (dirty, clogged, etc.) and the temps do not rise at the correct rate then it will cancel for safety reasons.

An exhaust leak in the flex pipe or other place can cause the temps not to get up to par too.. or the turbo can be worn out, or engine have a CAC or other boost/exhaust leak and cause it to cancel.. but otherwise still be healthy enough to run the engine just fine.

why does your engine still show the AV10051.xx program?. This is the program for out-dated dpf components that are not even available any more.

what is the engine ser#?... and the DPF part# stamped on the side of the DPF itself?.

and is everything genuine OEM only parts?

RE: Help! Cummins Isx CM871 Programming
79382815 is the engine serial number.
The DPF is an aftermarket Skyline emissions 1280.

What do you mean the AV10051.xx program
